Learning the Menus

The Menus on MS Paint are very simple to remember. Here's a step-by-step diagram of what each menu does.

File:
New: Simple opens a new selection.
Open: Opens an existing image. You have to know the name & location of the image you want to open.
Save: Saves the current image as is.
Save As: Saves the current image as a copy.

From Scanner or Camera: Insert a picture from your scanner or camera. ------------
Print Preview: Shows the preview of your image if you were to print it.
Print Setup: Allows you to alter your printing settings.
Print: Print Picture

Send: Send picture through e-mail.
------------
Set as Background (Tiled): Set your picture as your desktop background, repeating.
Set as Background (Centered): Set your picture as your desktop background, centered.

1, 2, 3, & 4 allows you to open the file it lists.

Exit: Exit Paint

Edit
Undo: Undo the last mark.
Repeat Repeat the undid mark.

Cut Cut out selected area.
Copy Copy selected area.
Paste Paste selected area.
Clear Selection Delete selection.
Select All Selects everything.

Copy To Copy picture to a file.
Paste From Paste a picture in.

View
Tool Box Remove or apply tool box.
Color Box Remove or apply color box.
Status Bar Remove or apply status bar.
Text Toolbar Remove or apply text toolbar.

Zoom Zoom in.
View Bitmap Picture is centered on the computer.

Image
Flip/Rotate Flip/rotates picture
Stretch/Skew Stretch out your picture
. Invert Colors Changes colors to their opposite
Attributes Adjus/view the length & width of picture.
Clear Image Clear entire picture.
Draw Opaque Makes the current section either opaque or transperant.

Colors
Edit Colors Choose/edit colors you selected in the color box.
